Vanna AI
Open-source text-to-SQL agent with RAG, multi-LLM, and multi-database support
Vanna AI — frequently asked questions
Which databases and LLMs does Vanna support?
Vanna works with any LLM provider (Anthropic, OpenAI, Gemini, Ollama, etc.) and any database, with first-class support listed for Snowflake, BigQuery, PostgreSQL, MySQL, and SQLite.
Can Vanna be self-hosted?
Yes. Vanna Core is open source and can be self-hosted via pip. The Vanna Cloud tier is optional and adds managed governance, observability, and storage features.
Does Vanna require sending data to an external service?
No. The open-source framework runs locally, so schema and queries stay within your environment when self-hosted.
